Harlem Globetrotter TyRone "Hollywood" Brown is visiting Guilford County Schools (GCS) this week to talk to students about the importance of character. On Thursday, he spoke at Gibsonville Elementary about responsible and respectful behavior, the importance of education, setting goals and making good choices in life. To illustrate these messages, he included students and teachers in his performance of the tricks that have made the Harlem Globetrotters world famous.
This special visit is just one example of how GCS is focusing on character education this school year to help students achieve educational excellence. On Monday, Brown visited Johnson Street Global Studies and he is visiting additional schools as well.
